About Me

Ginger Anne Sandell moved to Hawaii in 1975. She has loved art her entire life. Her eearliest childhood memories are of drawing.  She has studied art at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, Santa Monica City College, and is currently enrolled in the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She is earning her Masters in Fine Arts degree.

Ginger has had several exhibits including, Fireside Gallery, Living Arts Gallery, Rumley's Art Gallery, Pele's Hokulele Gallery, the Orchid Mauna Lani, and the East Hawaii Cultural Center.

The artist has worked in water color, pen and ink, pencil, and oils. She is currently working primarily with oils. Ginger believes that art is the essence of creation and has both a tactile and spiritual nature to it. She hopes to evoke a positive emotional response and bring beauty, peace, and joy to the observer.

Ginger is majoring in figurative abstraction at the University.
